LCDtext

A small program that enables registered users to write text to the output display.

This utility is available to registered users only. It is also available to DOS users, but they too will have to register to use this external app.
If you attempt to run this with Jukebox unregistered, it will report an error. It is a DOS application (so you can send messages to the display before Windows has booted) and thus, required the CWSDPMI system files to be in the same path as well. A link to them is also included below, though it is included in the LCDtext download ZIP.

jukebox controller

A program then will monitor Jukebox when a monitor is not connected.

This is at a very early stage but will be another, very small program which 'Wraps' around the main Jukebox system.

The Controller would be the program called, not Jukebox directly. The Controller would then take care of ensuring the correct directory was set for runtime, would check the exit-status of Jukebox and other various tasks. If you requested that Jukebox exit, it would be handled differently to a crash.

If Jukebox did crash, the log would be moved to a holding area and dated and Jukebox would be restarted. If it sensed Jukebox crashed again, possibly due to a corrupt file or disk fault, then action could be taken to remedy the situation, while also keeping a log of what happened.

This would be ideally used in the car where a screen is not available and so the system needs to be able to handle all it's own problems as much as possible.

Work is slowly progressing, but it will be sometime before the initial beta-release of this new Controller will be available.
